Mi ssion: The Tennisclub of the Lowcountry at Rose Hill is dedicated to providing world class instruction while sustaining a welcoming, quality oriented tennis facility and staff.
Tennisclub of the Low Country at Rose Hill will include six adult-regulation clay courts and five kid-regulation courts utilizing dimensions for the new national 10 & under program. A late-Spring opening for play is planned. A clubhouse with showers, pro shop and social areas is being built as well.
On Friday, February 25th, TLC co-owners Gavin Cox of Lowcountry Sports Network and Butch Staples turned the sod along with guest diggers while bulldozers roared in the background. The clubhouse and courts (across Clubhouse Drive from the Golf Clubhouse) will be on the site of the former Rose Hill golf maintenance building that now is at a new site.
Private and group instruction will begin as soon as courts are ready. Activity will include USTA League and Interclub teams, Cardio Tennis and evening programs for adults. Three of the adult courts will be lighted in time for Fall play. The junior courts will be among the few in the state built specifically to dimensions for the USTA's national QuickStart Program.
Lowcountry Sports Network operates programs at Colleton River, Belfair, Berkeley Hall, Hampton Hall, Habersham and Indigo Run.
The club is offering memberships for residents and non-residents of Rose Hill. Memberships information is available by calling 816-1665 or going to www.TLCRoseHill.com
