CNI is a not for profit organization designed by residents of Bluffton who want to stay in their homes for as long as possible as they age with the confidence and security of knowing that help is available to them.
CNI provides services, support and resources that help residents live healthy and meaningful lives in their homes.
CNI can provide
- Transportation to doctors appointments, grocery shopping or social events
- Assistance with minor household chores and maintenance
- Friendly phone checkups or visiting or respite
- Meals when recuperating from surgery
- Technical support for computer, DVD or TV
Services are generally provided by carefully screened volunteers. When volunteers are unable to provide a particular service, residents may choose assistance from a list of reliable vendors whose services they may employ
Although we strive to serve as many neighbors as possible, CNI cannot take the place of a health care provider, assisted living facility, or skilled nursing facility for those requiring medical care or intensive custodial services.
To Receive Services
· Call 843-368-2096 and leave a message for a CNI member to return your call.
· The CNI intake volunteer will call you and set up a time to visit you
· If CNI is able to assist you, your request will be given to the volunteer coordinator
· A volunteer will call you to set up a time to assist with your request

Call or email CNI for a volunteer handbook, or dowload at www.caring-neighbors.org
After reading the handbook, fill in the 3 forms at the back of the book and mail to CNI as directed, together with a copy of your auto insurance policy, a copy of your drivers license and a check for $8 for your driving record.
