We are pleased to have Anne Quigley, Jeanne Scott, and Charlotte Timcoe helping residents with their Medicare and Medicare supplement questions. They have recently participated in an extensive training program on this topic. Bring your questions.
If you need help, want to volunteer, want to participate in the Publix Shopping Service or have questions call 368-2096.

In July CNI volunteers donated 71 hours of service to this community. This brings us to a total of 830 volunteer hours given in 2011. Thank you all for your dedication to CNI and the residents in our community. A lot has been going on this summer and the update is lengthy. Please read it carefully.

National Background Checks will be done on all of our CNI volunteers - more on this soon
Grocery Store Shopping Program: Anne Quigley has finalized plans with Publix. Neighbors will be able to use a gift card to pay for groceries. The customer service desk will need 1 hour notice and food will be picked up at that site. Tuesday and Friday are the best days for Publix. A volunteer will be assigned to pick up the groceries for the neighbor.
Termination Statement: When a Board member Interviews a Neighbor who needs service, they will sign a termination statement that lets them know that it may be necessary for CNI to stop service if the neighbor is in need of more service than we are able to provide.
Web page: updates are being made to keep the web page current. www.caring-neighbors.org Thanks to Norm Shotz who has taken on this responsibility.
CNI Brochure are being updated to include the web page, email address and cell phone number 843-368-2096. |
