Many thanks to all of you who came by yesterday for some ice-cream! It was good to see you all!

Yesterday, also, we had a donation shoe box out for the Adopt-A-Soldier Program, which many of you supported in May. Attached is a letter one of the children had written.

Recently, we received a letter asking for our help in providing sharpening stones for the soldiers overseas because they all have knives, but few had anything to sharpen them with. So, in an effort to supply our courageous men and women with these stones, we are asking if you would consider donating $1.00 or more for this purchase. The cost of the sharpening stones is $1.75 each.

We will only be collecting monies through Wednesday, then on Thursday, we will purchase the sharpening stones, package them and ship them off to several locations overseas to our military.

If, too, anyone, kid-size through adult would like to write a note or draw a picture to the soldiers, it would be greatly appreciated. The heart of gratitude that we have received from them, knowing they are loved and supported back home, has been tremendous to their uplifted morale.
